Meet the Model: Carolyn Amos
Carolyn first caught our eye when we saw her modelling for fashion brand, Maude and Tommy, and we just loved her overall look. Modern, sleek, yet with such a sophisticated touch. After getting to know her a little better at York Fashion Week I saw her potential as a model, so we asked her to join us on our next shoot, and the rest is history!
Carolyn’s personality and the way it always shines through the photography is why she’s the perfect Copper & White model. She brings such a burst of joy to shoot days and we can always rely on her to represent the Copper & White brand in such a wonderful light. She is also a true representation of the Copper & White customer - young at heart, always looking for something new and exciting, confident with her style, and eager to experiment with stylish clothes to create an array of different looks.
When shoot days arrive, Carolyn knows how to read the photographer and work the camera. Within a flash, she’s onto the next pose and onto the next look, creating the most exquisite album of imagery.
We sat down with Carolyn to ask her a few questions about her time with Copper & White as well as her modelling experiences.
How long have you been modelling?
I have been modelling for 4 years.
What is your number one style tip?
My number one style tip is that it doesn't matter where it comes from. Vintage, High Street or designer can all look great if styled right. I would also say don’t be put off by thinking you can’t wear something because you are a certain age or shape. If something suits you and you feel good in it then go for it.
Which was your favourite Copper & White shoot?
My favourite Copper & White shoot was Autumn 2020. Not only was it a fabulous Autumnal day but we could finally get together after covid restrictions were lifted as well as being able to see the amazing new collection. As well as always having such a fun time working with Clare, she really knows which style and colours suit me and has such a good eye for the latest trends.
What made you want to be a model in the first place?
I never set out to be a model but someone tagged me in a Facebook post looking for a woman of my height, so I just decided just to apply as it was something completely out of my comfort zone. I was chosen for the shoot and loved it, so things went from there.
What advice would you give to anyone wanting to go into modelling?
Be prepared to work hard and market yourself and don’t be put off by rejection as it happens all the time.
Who do you look up to in the modelling industry?
Frances Duncombe. She is an 89-year-old classic model and lover of fashion. I love how she is still working and showing that age is no boundary.
A beautiful person inside and out, Carolyn does her utmost to accommodate us and is always more than content to shoot with us into the early evening. She is a key part of the Copper & White team, and we are ever so lucky to have her by our side.
